Re: SU!: FOUND SOMETHING THAT WILL WORK...........UGH.....Searching for a mini scrapbook I had "saved" on my browser

Blythe Klipple

I just found something that will work—it has the general size I’m looking for as well as the simplicity.  Check it out here:  https://createwithcayleigh.com/tuesday-tutorial-mini-scrapbook/

I’m excited and empowered now and can stop wasting my time searching through pages of Pinterest and elsewhere.  This will also be a great way to use up holiday DSP!  Hi ho hi ho it’s off to stamp I go.

I came upon a charming scrapbook, made of card stock, about 5” x 7”, crumb cake-ish as the basic color that I’d held on to for 4-5 days.  Of course it’s gone poof and I wasn’t smart enough to take a screen shot or save it in any manner.  LESSON LEARNED.  It was not exclusively SU products.  I want to see it to give myself a jump start on one I’d like to make as memento Christmas gifts for daughter and granddaughter highlighting their favorite moments of this covid and other good and ugly events of the season.  I was even going to make one for each of the grandsons.  It’s gone poof.  “History” for my daily safari (I’m a mac user) explorations reveals nothing.

Did any of you come across something like this as you wandered the web?  Thanks for any links or pix or whatever you might have.  In the meantime I’m going to tough it out and create another all by myself and I will share it when done.  It so annoying though to have ‘lost’ this inspiration piece.  It was NOT on Pinterest.  I think I came upon it via someone’s blog hop.

Thank you and Merry SAFE Christmas or whatever holiday you celebrate.

IT'S HERE! 2021-2022 ANNUAL CATALOG **WORDS** LIST

Happy Easter Everyone,

The 2021-2022 Annual Catalog WORDS list is ready for your use.

As always, I do my best to proofread as I go along and I do NOT go through line by line when I’m finished.   (That’s because my back and my brain are also finished!)  If you see a mistake or typo (oh I sure hope not) please either bring it to my attention and I’ll fix it or go ahead and fix your own copy but let the group know what line and exactly what the boo-boo is.

I do try to show UPPER CASE, lower case and cursive (italic) fonts, BOLD and not bold as appropriate--most of the time.

I’m sending three versions of the list:  Numbers for Mac users, Excel for PC users, and a PDF just for the heck of it!

Enjoy and may the list serve you well.  I know it helps me frequently.

THOSE 2021-2022 CATALOG WORDS -- with some reformattitng

I just reformatted the three docs I sent yesterday, eliminating the extra blank pages that might have caused havoc if you printed the document.  I have reduced the number of pages from 36 — which included 18 pages with blank columns only — to 18 pages full of words and the other info.  Sorry about that.  :(   You could also just print (IF you print these out) only pages 1-18.

New/refreshed docs attached now:

Fwd: Etched in nature images?? This is the email I just sent to SU!

Blythe Klipple
In reply to this post by Jeanne Moss

I just stamped each of the images on a piece of scrap paper to see what all the noise was about.  Hmmm.  Not good.  You can see what I wrote to SU! below plus the stamped images.  I’m sure they look familiar.  How sad.

Demo 3789 here. Blythe Klipple.

Is there something we should know about the ‘etched’ style of image in this new stamp set. The ‘middle’ of my largest stamp doesn’t seem to stamp properly. I also question the mushrooms and butterfly. Bird seems To be ‘ok’. Clover is fine.  Word images are ‘mushy’.

Has something been changed on the manufacturing line?

Should a disclaimer be put out that this is the “look” SU! is going for?  Or....that the stamps are faulty?

Thanks for your help.

Angie Brailsford

They are aware of the situation...contacting DS, you have the option to wait for a better set OR select a stamp set from preorder for $24 or less. The stamp set images should not be shared online (including this group) until April 26th per SU.

Always looking forward to a stampin' good time!

Peri Beal

More info

I just got off phone with demo support. I used the Stamparatus and a sponge dauber. Could get the bird and the mushrooms to look okay. The butterfly and branch look terrible. I then inked up the hot air balloon and the antique airplane with just a block and ink pad - beautiful crisp images with no effort. Told this to demo support. He said he thought I had legitimate defective set, but at this time they are doing nothing. He put my name on a list for potential replacement down the road.

The SU website now has a disclaimer statement about this set.

I definitely won't promote this set until a fix has been done.

That “disclaimer” is hardly that. It says it’s  we who are the problem by not stamping correctly. When I sent them my complaint I showed the stamped images and stamps right on my Stamparatus. But, oh, my ink pad must have been too wet or too dry. What a terrible stamper I am!

HIP HIP HOORAY for Stampin' Up!'s decision re Etched in Nature

Blythe Klipple
In reply to this post by Jeanne Moss

Check out the UPDATE I just posted (APRIL 8, 2021) and you’ll see that Stampin’ Up! has really and intentionally reviewed the issues with the Etched in Nature stamp set.  I think we can all feel SEEN and LISTENED TO.  Thank you SU! for doing the right thing.  Perhaps we should flood DS with as many thank you comments as we did on the opposite side of the issue.

If you just reply to this email, your message will go to all SUDSOL members, unless you change the To: email address to the author: blythek@
