For our Demonstrator Business Web Services (DBWS) subscribers, we’re happy to announce that individual sample recipes from the Sale-A-Bration brochure and July–December 2021 Mini Catalog are now available! Visit your DBWS Resource Library to see all the fun creations and share them with your customers. For the mini catalog, we currently we have all the suite and bundle projects available in each market’s language and are grouped by suite or bundle. For Sale-A-Bration, the projects grouped by page number. Additional recipes will be added on a weekly basis, so check back often for new projects! To keep overall purchase costs lower, common supply items are not included in the supply lists. Start sharing with your customers today! In 2013, Stampin’ Up! implemented a feature allowing a host code to be added to a customer order. The intent of this feature was to allow a customer to add their order to a gathering they were unable to attend in person. As business has evolved in recent years, demonstrators have found creative ways to leverage this feature and maximize Stampin’ Rewards using host codes. As a result, Demonstrator Support has experienced an increase in requests to add host codes to customer orders—these requests have significantly increased our global call volume. We have adjusted staffing and implemented other changes to improve efficiencies in an effort to maintain service levels. However, the number of host code related requests continues to increase, requiring us to change how we process these requests.

Going forward, we will assist demonstrators with adding up to 10 host codes to customer orders per month. We believe this will accommodate most, if not all, circumstances in which a customer has misapplied or forgotten to include a host code.


Thirteen states will be offering a sales tax holiday for school supplies during the months of July or August. Products that are eligible according to the statute include “items normally used by students in a standard classroom for educational purposes.” To see the names of participating states, products exempted from tax, and sales tax holiday dates, click here.

Please note that you must place your order with Stampin’ Up! during the tax holiday period in order to receive these items tax-free (which is midnight on the first day to midnight on the last day of the tax holiday). Also, keep in mind that this is a state sales tax holiday; the state statute may not apply to county, city, and special jurisdiction taxes.

If you have customers who live in states who benefit from the sales tax holiday (yay!), be sure to give them a call and let them know.

Note: Georgia, Louisiana, and Wisconsin have suspended the sales tax holiday for this year.

We want to make you aware of a change in the online payment account verification and pre-authorization process. This change is a result of our continual effort to stay at the forefront of global payment security concerns and measures.

Our payment processing vendor has communicated that a pre-authorization/account verification transaction in an amount between $0.00 and $1.00 will be initiated for any new credit cards added/saved as a payment method to a user’s account/profile in the online store, Order Entry Express (OEX), and Paper Pumpkin systems. The transaction will then be immediately voided, resulting in no actual charge to your account and no funds being held. Both the pre-authorization/account verification transaction and the subsequent void will show on your credit card or other financial institution statements.

This new pre-authorization/account verification transaction and void may begin occurring as early as 17 August (again, only for new credit cards saved to a user’s account/profile).

Please share this information with your customers to prevent concerns about this transaction and corresponding void.
