Embossing Paste Catalog Correction

We wanted to let you know that the measurements listed in the catalog for the Embossing Paste (item 141979) are incorrect. These measurements that are found on the packaging are accurate: 4 fl oz/118 ml.

These measurements (fluid ounces and milliliters) refer to volume (how much space the paste takes up) and not weight. The paste is 4 fl oz/118 ml when packaged and may settle and become more condensed while shipped or over time. This does not affect the use of the paste or how long it will last.

We also wanted to let you know that we use a jar with a wider opening and leave some empty space so there’s plenty of room to use the palette knives (item 142808) to scoop the paste out of the jar. If your customers have questions about the amount of paste contained in the jar, please give them this information.

OnStage Display Board Stampers Needed

OnStage is coming up again this November, and we’re getting ready for an exciting event! Want to get involved? If so, we need demonstrators (of any title) who would like the opportunity to stamp projects for our OnStage display boards. Interested demonstrators must be planning on registering and planning to attend OnStage Local or Live.

If you are interested in being an event display stamper, here’s how to apply:

1. Create or collect your best work and include the following hand-stamped items: three card fronts (standard card size), one scrapbook page, and two 3D items. Display stampers will be selected based on the quality and creativity of their submitted artwork.

2. Create a single blog post, Pinterest board, or Demonstrator Business Web Services (DBWS) website post featuring good quality pictures of your projects.

3. Fill out this application for consideration. (Please only fill it out one time; demonstrators who fill it out multiple times will not be considered.) We must receive your application by Friday, July 7.

Selected demonstrators will receive products and supplies to create samples for the event; they’ll also win a post-event shopping spree. We look forward to seeing your work. Good luck!

Holiday Catalog Mailing Selector

The mailing selector for the 2017 holiday catalog will be available July 1 and remain open through July 31. Remember, you may only place one order during the open selection period, so make sure everything is correct before you close it.

Mailing selector orders will begin shipping to customers the week of August 7 via standard (bulk) mail, which can take up to 2-3 weeks to deliver.

No Change to Payout Factors for New Quarter (Canada Only)

The payout factors will remain the same for next quarter. View the payout factors in the CSV and Payout Factor document under Business Resources>Compensation Plan.

The payout factor is used when converting CSV to your local currency to determine how much you will be paid. Because the payout factor closely relates to trending exchange rates, we will evaluate it for potential changes on a quarterly basis. During this evaluation we consider the previous 12-month, 6-month, and 3-month trends, and then we adjust the payout factors as necessary. Remember the value of product credits is based on the payout factor at the time they are spent, not when they are redeemed in the Flex Account.
