Redeem Bonus Days Coupons This Month

If you or your customers earned Bonus Days Coupons in July, they need to be redeemed by August 31. Do you have customers that aren’t sure where to start? Encourage them to use their coupons with our early release Carols of Christmas products which are available starting today. As a demonstrator, you can also use your coupons for the holiday catalog preorder. Find more details about redeeming your coupons here.

Redeem Flex Points for OnStage Registration

Beginning today, you can redeem flex points for your OnStage registration. Please note: you cannot use flex points for supporting demonstrator registration. If you would like to use flex points for your OnStage registration, follow the step-by-step instructions at the bottom of the Events>Register page. Remember, after you redeem points for OnStage in the Flex Account, you still need to register for the event once registration opens on August 15. To help you with other travel expenses, you can also redeem flex points for airline vouchers and hotel e-gift cards. We can’t wait to see you in November!

Reminders about the Holiday Preorder

The holiday catalog preorder has officially started; take advantage of this opportunity to get your holiday products now so you can start preparing for your events and parties!

You can also begin ordering catalog 8-packs. You’ll find all the 8-pack information (including information on flex points for catalog 8-packs) on the Catalog Details page. The Catalog Details page also has important upcoming dates and a link to any holiday catalog corrections, so be sure to check it out.

Other notes of interest:

  • Product videos are now available at youtube.com/stampinup—and you can share them with your customers! (Please take a moment to review our Internet policies in the Demonstrator Policies document.)
  • Your complimentary holiday catalog will automatically be included in the first demonstrator order you place between today and August 13. If you don’t place a demonstrator order by August 13, your copy will be shipped to you during the week of August 14 via standard (bulk) mail, which can take up to three weeks to arrive, depending on your location.
  • New demonstrators who join between August 1, 2017, and August 31, 2017, may choose preorder items for their Starter Kit.

OnStage in 2019

Who’s already planning for 2019? We are! When we book venues for our events we work a few years out, and that means we’re already in the planning stages for 2019. When we announced that the OnStage schedule would look a little different in 2018, some of you had questions about what that would mean for 2019.

We will be picking back up with the OnStage Live rotation we ended with this year, which means: April 2019 OnStage Live will be in the South Pacific and November 2019 will be in Europe. Here’s an overview:

DateOnStage Live LocationOnStage Local Locations
November 9–11, 2017Salt Lake City, Utah, United StatesThroughout Europe and South Pacific
April 7, 2018NoneThroughout Europe, South Pacific, and North America
November 7–10, 2018Orlando, Florida, United StatesThroughout Europe and South Pacific
April 2019South PacificThroughout Europe and North America
November 2019EuropeThroughout South Pacific and North America

We continually evaluate how to improve our events and best meet our OnStage objectives, which are to:

  • Connect demonstrators to Stampin’ Up! and to each other through catalog launch product experiences, training, and recognition.
  • Provide an experience that engages demonstrators so they are inspired to stay active in their demonstrator role.
  • Provide training and product information to help demonstrators increase their sales.
  • Give the opportunity for as many demonstrators to attend OnStage as possible.
  • Effectively use company resources.

We look forward to seeing you at OnStage in November!

US ONLY: US State Sales Tax Holidays

There are 13 US states having state sales tax holidays for school supplies. What does that mean for you? Stampin’ Up! products that fall under that category will be tax-free for a limited time! If you live in one of the lucky states, make sure to take advantage of the holiday and also contact your customers to let them know about this limited-time benefit.

Refer to this PDF to see which states are offering the holiday and relevant information for each state including holiday dates, products that qualify, and dollar limits per item.

You must place your order with Stampin’ Up! during the tax holiday period in order to receive these items tax-free (midnight on the first day to 11:59 PM on the last day of the tax holiday).

Keep in mind that this is a state sales tax holiday and may not apply to additional county, city, and special jurisdiction taxes.

Big Shot Cutting Pads

Many of you have reached out to us with concerns about the Big Shot Cutting Pads not having the longevity that they used to have. We wanted you to know that we are actively working with our supplier to determine the issue.

In the meantime, there are steps you can take to improve the longevity of your Cutting Pads:

  • Regularly rotate which Cutting Pad is on top, and flip the pads over to help alleviate even more cutting wear.
  • Only use the Precision Base Plate on detailed dies from the Detailed Dies section of the annual catalog (p. 215). The Precision Base Plate is especially rough on Cutting Pads because it is made of metal and has no give, so the pads absorb the pressure.
  • Avoid adding additional shims to your sandwich whenever possible, as this places additional pressure on the pads when you run them through the Big Shot.

We know that some of you, even when following these best practices, still encounter wear issues with your Cutting Pads; we have made our supplier aware of that, as well. We appreciate your patience as we continue to work to find the source of the problem and resolve it with our Cutting Pads supplier.

Ownership and Use of Team Lists, Company-Generated Customer Lists, and Other Confidential Information of the Company

Policy reminders are essential for the protection of you as a demonstrator, for your fellow demonstrators, and also for protection of Stampin’ Up! Today’s message is especially important as it involves the rules and laws that govern the use and ownership of team lists and company-generated customer lists and related data.
