Flex Point Redemption Reminders
The last day to redeem flex points from the 2016–2017 Stampin’ Up! year is October 31, 2017. You can view and redeem your flex points under Ordering>My Flex Account. Please keep the following in mind as you are making plans and redeeming points:
New Stampin’ Up! Year and Retitlement
The new Stampin’ Up! year is fast approaching. To keep your current title and all its benefits into the 2017–2018 Stampin’ Up! year, you will need to meet all of your title’s requirements by 11:59 PM (MT) on September 30. On October 1, Stampin’ Up! will review the performance of every demonstrator to determine the title at which they’re performing; demonstrators who are not meeting their title requirements will be retitled accordingly. For example, in order to maintain the benefit of 25% instant income, you will need to meet title requirements for bronze elite by the stated deadline; otherwise, you will be retitled to bronze and return to earning 20% instant income. To learn more about titles and title requirements, read the Titles section of the Compensation Plan document, including the Titles Q & A. If you are not on track to maintain your title for the new Stampin’ Up! year, you will see a Progress to Maintain Title graph on your My Reports dashboard that will help you track how you’re doing. If you are silver or above, you will receive an email with additional tips.

Emboss-Only Die Pieces
We are always looking for new ways to use our dies. That's why we introduced some unique embossing elements to two of the die sets featured in our 2017 annual catalog: the Eclectic Layers Thinlits and the Build a Bike Framelits. Each set includes one emboss-only piece.
Unlike the dies they accompany, these two emboss-only pieces do not cut. They create beautiful, subtle embossed looks that add to the layering nature of their dies and coordinating sets. We designed these pieces to run through at the same time as other cutting dies—allowing your customers to build their sandwiches the same way.
Make sure to point out these emboss-only pieces to your customers, and let them know how they work.
Say Hello to the Merry Patterns Host Promotion!

Be sure to let them know that the Merry Patterns Stamp Set is exclusive to the host promotion and will not be available after the last day of October. We’ll also post a training video with samples to help them get a head start on making beautiful Christmas cards and projects with their “merry” new set. So don’t wait. Get the full details here and start contacting your customers today!
Customer Version of Holiday Catalog Launch Event Commercials
You loved the commercials you saw at the first of each Holiday Catalog Launch Event video and we think your customers will too. That’s why we have versions to share with your customers to get them excited too. These commercial videos are available on the resource page here and can be shared with your customers once the catalog goes live on September 1. Get them excited, and enjoy watching them again.
New E-mail about Finalized Commissions
Beginning in September for August commissions, you will receive an email each month letting you know when the previous month’s commissions have been finalized. Below is a copy of the email you will receive. This email will take the place of the weekly update about finalized commissions. Please note, this email indicates when your report data has been updated—not when bank deposits have been made; your payment schedule is not changing.
Last Month’s Commissions Have Been Finalized
Last month’s commissions have been finalized, and your Activity Reports and Team Reports have been updated. Access them under Business Resources>My Reports on the demonstrator website.
CSV and Payout Factor Changes—Effective October 1, 2017
In North America, the following changes impact Canadian demonstrators only.
Below are the updated CSV and payout factors that will take effect October 1, 2017. As previously announced, we review the payout factor quarterly and the CSV factor annually. The CSV and Payout Factor document under Business Resources>Compensation Plan will be updated with these new factors by October 1, 2017. The document also contains a Factor Changes Q & A.
The CSV factor helps you determine in your local currency what you need to do to achieve certain thresholds in the Compensation Plan (i.e., quarterly minimum, volume rebates, title requirements, etc.). The CSV factor is determined for each country by a variety of components that go into our pricing model: taxes, shipping and handling, currency exchange rates, and an array of other considerations. Since our pricing models are reviewed annually, we will also evaluate the CSV factor at the beginning of each Stampin’ Up! year. If significant circumstances in a market occur during the Stampin’ Up! year, including changes to GST or VAT in your country, we may also adjust this factor at that time.
The payout factor determines how much you are paid in your local currency for your achievements (i.e. volume rebates, team commissions, performance bonuses, sales milestones, etc.). The payout factor is more closely related to currency exchange rates. Because these rates continually fluctuate, we evaluate the payout factor for potential changes on a quarterly basis. During this evaluation we consider the previous 12-month, 6-month, and 3-month trends, and then we adjust the payout factors as necessary. Remember the value of product credits is based on the payout factor at the time they are spent, not when they are redeemed in the Flex Account.
