Jill TaylorWe’re pleased to announce Jill Taylor as Stampin’ Up!’s new VP of Sales. As a prior member of Stampin’ Up!’s Board of Directors, she’s a familiar face to many, and we’re excited to welcome her to the corporate team and the Stampin’ Up! family! 

Jill is known for her commitment to community, relationships, and helping others. She is a proven and dynamic leader with a wealth of experience in business development, strategic planning, and professional development. Most recently she was senior vice president and regional president at Key Bank where she successfully restructured business operations, significantly improving overall performance, profitability, and employee engagement.

She and her husband, Jason, have three children, and they love spending time together boating, attending sporting events, and playing board games. She enjoys playing the piano, working in the yard, and is a chocoholic. 

Those attending OnStage Live in Salt Lake City will have the opportunity to meet Jill in person, and she’ll be at other Stampin’ Up! events in the future, as well.

The 2018 Occasions Catalog and Sale-A-Bration Brochure Are Coming!

The new year is just around the corner, and you know what that means: It’s almost time for the 2018 occasions catalog and Sale-A-Bration brochure! Keep enjoying the season—and the holiday catalog—but make a little room in the back of your mind for some key dates and details about the upcoming catalog and brochure.

  • November 1–30, 2017: Occasions catalog and Sale-A-Bration brochure mailing selectors will be available.
  • November 13, 2017; 1:00 PM (MT): Occasions catalog and Sale-A-Bration brochure PDFs will be available on the demonstrator website.
  • December 1, 2017: Occasions catalog preorder and Sale-A-Bration pre-earn begin; they will run through January 2, 2018. Check for more details on December 1! Eight-packs of 2018 occasions catalogs and Sale-A-Bration brochures will also be available for purchase or redemption with flex points.
  • December 1–10, 2017: A complimentary occasions catalog and Sale-A-Bration brochure will be included with your first demonstrator order.
  • Week of December 11, 2017: If you do not place a demonstrator order December 1–10, your complimentary copy of the 2018 occasions catalog and Sale-A-Bration brochure will automatically be sent to you via standard (bulk) shipping.
  • January 3, 2018: The 2018 occasions catalog goes live to customers, and Sale-A-Bration begins!

Note: While there are some instances where you may share the occasions catalog with customers before January 3, we recommend using your discretion. Customers sometimes become frustrated by not being able to purchase products yet, which can negatively affect your marketing efforts.

Occasions Catalog and Sale-A-Bration Brochure Mailing Selectors

The mailing selectors for the 2018 occasions catalog and Sale-A-Bration brochure will be available November 1–30. Remember, you may place only one order for each publication during the open selection period, so make sure everything is correct before you close it. Mailing selector orders will begin shipping to customers the week of December 4 via standard (bulk) mail, which can take up to 2–3 weeks to deliver.

Why We Say “We Do Not Recommend”

Occasionally, when we post new-catalog or new-product information on the demonstrator website, we’ll include language that states we “do not recommend” sharing videos, etc., with your customers before the customer launch date.

When we state “we do not recommend,” that does not mean it’s against the rules. In fact, if it was against the rules, we would state “do not” and just leave the “recommend” off altogether! 

The reason we say “we do not recommend” is because we believe it isn’t a good business practice to spend time actively promoting a product to your customers that is not yet available for them to purchase. So while you were allowed to promote, for example, Stampin’ Blends before we announced a customer go-live date, we recommended spending your limited time on promoting products that were available for purchase—like products from the holiday or annual catalogs. 

So in the future if you see those four little words—“we do not recommend”—it doesn’t mean you can’t; it just means we feel it wouldn’t be in the best interest of your business. However, as independent demonstrators, ultimately it’s up to you to decide what you want to promote and when (within the policies set forth by Stampin’ Up! in the Demonstrator Policies document).
