New this Week

Preorder, Pre-Earn, and Complimentary Catalogs

The 2018 occasions catalog and Sale-A-Bration brochure will go live to your customers on January 3—but preorders and pre-earn begin on December 1 for you! This is a great time to try new products and start prepping for your January events.

Remember: Your complimentary copy of the 2018 occasions catalog and Sale-A-Bration brochure will be included with your first demonstrator order placed between December 1 and December 10.

If you do not place a demonstrator order December 1–10, your complimentary copy of the catalog and brochure will be shipped via standard (bulk) shipping the following week. Keep in mind that catalogs sent via standard (bulk) shipping can take up to three weeks to arrive depending on your location. You can find PDFs of the catalog and brochure on the Catalogs page until your physical copy arrives.

Here are some other important reminders:

  • The mailing selector period ends November 30. You may only place one order for each publication during the open selection period, so make sure everything is correct before you close it.
  • Eight-packs of the 2018 occasions catalogs and Sale-A-Bration brochures will be available for purchase or redemption with flex points beginning December 1.
  • Ordering will be unavailable on December 1 from midnight to 3:00 AM (MT) while we transition our systems to the new catalog and brochure.
  • With the preorder and pre-earn starting next week, important news could come up that needs to be communicated right away. With that in mind, we may be posting some updates outside of our normal Weekly Update process. Be sure to check the website until the preorder and pre-earn go live on December 1.

The Year-End Sales Event Is Coming Soon

We're wishing 2017 a fond farewell by throwing a Year-End Sales Event in its honor! In just a few short days, you'll be smiling over special deals on select retiring and surplus items while supplies last.

The Year-End Sales Event will run from December 1, 2017, to January 2, 2018, and supplies are limited. Be sure to share this promotion with your customers, so they can snag their favorite items before they’re gone!

OnStage Display Board Stampers Needed

OnStage is coming up again this April, and we’re getting ready for an exciting event! Want to get involved? If so, we need demonstrators (of any title) who would like the opportunity to stamp projects for our OnStage display boards. Interested demonstrators must be planning on registering and planning to attend OnStage Local.

If you are interested in being an event display stamper, here’s how to apply:

1. Create or collect your best work and include the following hand-stamped items: three card fronts (standard card size), one scrapbook page, and two 3D items. Display stampers will be selected based on the quality and creativity of their submitted artwork.
2. Create a single blog post, Pinterest board, or Demonstrator Business Web Services (DBWS) website post featuring good quality pictures of your projects.
3. Fill out this application for consideration. We must receive your application by Friday, December 15, 2017.

Selected demonstrators will receive products and supplies to create samples for the event; they’ll also earn a post-event shopping spree. We look forward to seeing your work. Good luck!

Information on Shipping

The festive season is a busy time of year for sending and receiving packages, so naturally shipping times may slow down. If you are placing any orders that contain gifts for Christmas, please be advised to submit your order(s) by Thursday, December 14 (December 7 for Canada). Orders submitted after this date are not likely to arrive before Christmas.

October/November Paper Pumpkin Updates

October Past Kit Back Orders

We have good news! We have received the additional inventory required to fulfill backorders associated with the October past kit. We will be shipping out these orders between November 28-30.

November Backorders

November backorders remain on schedule to ship out between December 5 and December 11, as previously stated. We are not expecting anything to delay the fulfillment of backorders beyond this timeframe. If anything changes, we will let you know.

Paper Pumpkin November 2nd Billing November 30, 2017

We have received questions regarding the second billing for November. Normally, we run a second billing on the 20th of each month for those whose payment failed on the 1st billing. However, due to the lack of inventory, we delayed the second billing, pending the arrival of additional inventory. Due to system restraints, we are unable delay the second billing past November 30. Therefore, the second billing will run on November 30.

Because the second billing will run before we receive additional inventory, those accounts successfully billed during the second billing will be placed on back order status until we receive additional inventory. We can confirm that backorders associated with the second billing will ship by December 11. If anything changes, we will let you know.

Paper Pumpkin November Past Kits and Refills

Due to the November Paper Pumpkin back orders, we will not be offering refills of the November kit. Our first priority is to fill backorders. Once backorders are filled, we will determine if there is sufficient inventory to offer a November past kit. We will provide another update on 12/12 regarding any November past kit offer.

Previously Announced

Paper Pumpkin Prepaid Codes No Longer Expire

In order to simplify the management of Paper Pumpkin prepaid codes, they will no longer expire, including codes that you or your customers may have purchased prior to this announcement. Going forward you will see this change reflected in the “How to Start Your Paper Pumpkin Subscription” email and in the new gift card available in the Paper Pumpkin Stampin’ University Toolkit.

Even though codes will no longer expire, please be sure to remind your customers to redeem their codes. An unredeemed code is like a gift that has never been opened, and we think everyone who purchases a Paper Pumpkin kit (or receives one as a gift) should be able to enjoy it. We would also like to encourage demonstrators to not hold codes, but rather use them to stimulate new subscriptions and reward your team or your existing customers.

As part of our ongoing effort to encourage code redemption, we will begin sending out a quarterly email to code holders encouraging them to redeem their prepaid codes. If we have a customer record associated with an unredeemed code that is older than six months, we will send an email directly to that customer.
