Demonstrator Councils for 2020—Focus and Selection Information

Demonstrator councils were introduced a year ago to partner with Demonstrator Development Managers (DDMs) to motivate and engage with demonstrators. Each DDM works closely with demonstrators from their area and council members serve for one year. Last year’s council members focused on identifying ways to shape and execute training around Stampin’ Up! offerings to increase sales, recruiting, and leadership.

The demonstrator councils for 2020 will include five demonstrators in each DDM’s area. They will again work closely with their area DDM and serve for one year.

The focus of the 2020 councils will be on building connections with demonstrators who report directly to Stampin’ Up! and will help determine how to better support demonstrators who do not have an active team leader. The council will explore the unique needs of demonstrators who are direct to Stampin’ Up! and will test programs to fulfill those needs (with an eye toward global integration).

Please read below for information about qualifications and responsibilities for 2020 demonstrator council members.

We are looking for silver and above demonstrators who are direct* to Stampin’ Up! and have these qualities:

  • Flexibility and positivity
  • Open-minded and creative
  • Good communication skills
  • Thrives in a team environment

*Not sure who your direct team leader is? On the demonstrator website, navigate to My Reports>Activity Reports>Activity Summary. Your Direct Team Leader is listed there.

Council Member Responsibilities Include

  • Attend regularly scheduled council calls using a video conference platform (once a month for up to two hours).
  • Complete individual monthly tasks assigned during council calls (up to two hours per month).
  • Help plan, shape, and execute content/training around goals.
  • Champion initiatives set forth by councils worldwide.

Other Things to Note

  • Proficiency with electronic communication tools is a plus.
  • Council members will serve 12 months (January through December 2020).
  • Service on the demonstrator council is voluntary and without monetary compensation.

If you are interested in applying for the 2020 demonstrator councils, please complete this survey by November 20, 2019. We will notify candidates selected for the interviewing process in early December.
