UPDATES: March 20, 2018: Weekly Updates

Blythe Klipple

NEW THIS WEEK:

Payout Factor Process Changes

We’ve recently been evaluating the process for determining and updating the CSV and payout factors. Specifically, we’ve been looking at the update schedule for these factors (which includes an annual evaluation of CSV factors and a quarterly evaluation of payout factors) and the criteria used to determine each factor. As we’ve considered the potential disruption that factor changes might cause in your business, we have decided to reduce the frequency of payout factor adjustments to once per year. In addition, in reviewing the criteria used to determine these factors, we have decided to adjust the payout factor criteria to more closely align with the criteria we use to determine the CSV factor, including product prices, shipping, taxes, exchange rates, fair market value for products, cost of doing business in each country, etc. Aligning the schedule for evaluating both the payout factor and CSV factor to once per year will also help us better align these criteria.

Going forward, we will evaluate both the CSV and payout factors near the end of each Stampin’ Up! year, and any changes will take effect on October 1.* We will announce these annual changes at least 30 days before they take effect. This new update schedule is effective immediately, which means there will be no changes to payout factors in April or July this year. The next potential change will take place with the new Stampin’ Up! year on October 1, 2018.

We hope these modifications will be beneficial to you and your business.

*Please note: If significant circumstances in a market occur during a Stampin’ Up! year, including changes to GST or VAT in your country, we may also adjust the CSV and/or payout factors at that time.

Issue with Doubling Orders Fixed

Over the past year, Stampin’ Up!’s IT department has been working to identify an issue with the online store that periodically resulted in a customer’s order being doubled. We know this has been a source of frustration for you.

Thankfully, the IT department has identified what they believe was the major contributor to the issue and have fixed it. There is a small possibility that there could be other contributing factors not yet been identified; so if you see cases of this happening again, please let Demonstrator Support know. Thank you for your patience!
