WEEKLY UPDATES

March 10, 2020

Exciting Catalog Changes

One of our favorite things (and we think you’ll agree) is our catalogs! We love planning new and exciting products for you and then designing catalogs to present those products in a way that is both accessible and beautiful. This process is one that touches most of us at Stampin’ Up! and we are thrilled to be part of it!

That’s why we love to look for ways to make it better, always with you in mind. Over the years, we’ve made changes big and small to support your business. Most recently, we’ve considered how to improve consistency across markets (specifically for catalog names), how to allow more time to sell from mini catalogs, ways to position products to better target customers, and the size of each catalog. As we dug in, we found new opportunities that we want to implement.

With that in mind, we’re excited to announce some upcoming changes! Click here for a high-level overview of what you’ll see in catalogs for 2020 and beyond. (You’ll find that we have already begun making some of these changes and others will begin in 2021.)

OnTour Registration Starts Next Week

Remember that registration for our OnTour events starts March 17! We’ve updated the OnTour Locations & Dates PDF with the venue names and addresses. Take a look here

Keep in mind that these are smaller events with limited capacities and some events may fill up fast. When an event fills up, you’ll be notified when you click on the registration button for that event. If it’s full, you’ll be able to add yourself to the wait list in case a spot opens. Visit the OnTour page here for more details and answers to common questions.

Coronavirus Update

In two previous updates, we’ve reported on anticipated delays in the production and shipment of some products due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. We’d like to inform you that most of our suppliers have resumed production and some are making Stampin’ Up! their top priority; however, we are expecting to experience shipment delays and will airfreight items when circumstances allow.

While a few 2020–2021 Annual Catalog (both preorder and launch) items are at risk of being delayed, we are doing all we can to mitigate the impact. We’ll continue to evaluate the situation now through the launch of the new annual catalog and will keep you posted as we gain more information.

The following items, currently on the Inventory Status Report in North America, are already being affected by these delays:

  • GARDEN GATEWAY DIES (item 151512)
  • DETAILED BEE DIES (item 151526)
  • BONANZA DIES (item 151566)
  • POPPY MOMENTS DIES (item 151594)
  • PAINTED LABELS DIES (item 151605)
  • WOODLAND EMBOSSING FOLDER (item 152881)
  • PAPER DESIGNER SERIES 6" X 6" (15.2 X 15.2 CM) SUBTLES (item 149615)
  • FROM MY HEART FACETED GEMS (item 151154)
  • CHAMPAGNE RHINESTONE BASIC JEWELS (item 151193)
  • ASSORTED POMPOMS (item 151310)

Tornadoes

To those of our Stampin’ Up! family in Tennessee, we are thinking of you and praying for the safety and recovery of all people impacted by the recent tornadoes there.

Last Day to Sign Up for the Paper Pumpkin March 2020 Kit

Just a reminder that today, March 10, is the last day your customers can sign up for our exclusive, collectible March kit. Not only is this a beautiful kit, featuring 12 cards (4 each of 3 designs), but it also comes with a FREE stamp set and one-of-a-kind box. Don’t let your customers miss this exciting offer! Updated Paper Pumpkin Flyers

We’ve updated our Paper Pumpkin Marketing Flyers, available in packs of 25 as a supply item (US item 156024/CA item 156025). Use these flyers to tell new customers everything they need to know about getting started with Paper Pumpkin. Purchase them under Supply Items or download the PDF here. Share Paper Pumpkin today!

Status Update: Clear Metric Ruler for the Paper Trimmer

On October 2, we posted a current update for our European markets providing additional information about the new paper trimmer—and the measurements on its clear ruler. We wanted to give you a status update now to keep you informed. Here’s an excerpt from the update for some context:

“One challenge we are aware of is that the clear ruler on the new paper trimmer has imperial measurements only. We received comments about this during the incentive trip and reached out to our manufacturer at that time. They initially communicated to us that they could not alter the clear ruler. In subsequent conversations, we realized there was a misunderstanding and we are taking a second look at that possibility. Not wanting to delay getting our new paper trimmer in your hands, we will continue to move forward with our current launch. We will provide you with an update as soon as we have more news to share with you about the possible launch of a metric version of the clear ruler.”

Since posting this communication, we have been hard at work developing a clear ruler with metric measurements for the paper trimmer (sold separately). Additionally, we have now finalized packaging and performed the necessary shipping tests to move this item into production—which will be happening soon!

Unfortunately, we don’t have a product release date to share with you yet, but we continue to keep you updated as new information becomes available.

Policies Reminder: Customer Right to Cancel

We hope your customers are enjoying their purchases from the annual catalog and mini catalog as well as their Sale-A-Bration perks. Now is a great time to review the Customer Right to Cancel policy found in the Demonstrator Policies Document, as well as the version customers can read on the Customer Order Form. Reviewing these policies will help you familiarize yourself with the steps you may need to take as a demonstrator if your customer chooses to cancel their order. If you have any question about these or other policies, feel free to contact Demonstrator Support.
