PAPER PUMPKIN: SUSPENDED ACCOUNTS IMPACTED BY KIT SELLING OUT

As you know, the May Paper Pumpkin kits sold out on 27 April at 9:00 AM (MT). Subscribers who had accounts suspended for April and didn’t reactivate them before the kit sold out will not receive the May kit. To help make up for not being able to send these subscribers the May kit, we will deliver their next kit for free. We’ve already applied the free kit to their account, and it will count toward the next month that their account is active. Subscribers who are impacted by this will receive a notification email explaining the situation.

The following information provides additional details on why suspended accounts were impacted. Typically, when an account is suspended it will automatically reactivate on the first day of the month following the suspended month. In other words, an account suspended for the April kit would typically reactivate automatically on 1 May and would receive the May kit.

Since the May kits sold out on 27 April, accounts that were still in suspended status from April were reactivated to receive their next kit in JUNE instead of May; this means that any account reactivated AFTER 27 April is scheduled to receive their next kit in JUNE (including suspended accounts from April that automatically reactivated on 1 May).

Even though the Paper Pumpkin team tries to maintain ample supply of monthly kits, there is always a risk of kits selling out before the end of the subscription period. The only way for a subscriber to guarantee a kit every month is to remain in an active status. Unfortunately, accounts in suspended status are at risk of kits selling out before reactivation can occur. We are working to adjust our systems to better communicate these risks when subscribers suspend their accounts.
