New this Week

Today Is The Day!

The holiday catalog launch event has arrived! The video will be posted at 1:00 PM (MT). Once each video is live, you can watch them any time, so no worries if you can’t watch them right away. Oh, and did we mention we’re giving away some prizes? Get more details here.

Just Days Left in the Christmas in July Promotion

As many of you know, Christmas came early this year at Stampin’ Up! Santa is delivering Starter Kit gifts to new recruits who join during the month of July—including the Carols of Christmas Stamp Set from the 2017 holiday catalog. Santa is thrilled with the great response so far, and wanted us to remind you that July is almost over. So if you know someone who would love to join Stampin’ Up! during this exciting promotion—don’t delay! Contact them today!

Last Week to Earn Bonus Days Coupons

You and your customers only have a week left to earn Bonus Days coupons! For every $50 USD/$60 CAD your customers spend before July 31 (before shipping and tax), they’ll get a $5 USD/$6 CAD Bonus Days coupon that can be used in August. Remind your customers to earn as many coupons as they can before it’s too late! Also, let them know they can use their coupons with our early release Carols of Christmas products which are available beginning August 1. Find more details about Bonus Days here.

Preorder and Complimentary Catalogs

The holiday catalog will go live to your customers on September 1, 2017, but preorders begin on August 1 for you. It’s a great chance to try new products and prepare for your September events.

Remember: Your complimentary copy of the catalog will be included with your first demonstrator order between August 1 and August 13.

If you do not place a demonstrator order August 1-13, your complimentary copy of the catalog will be shipped via standard (bulk) shipping the week of August 14. Keep in mind that catalogs sent via standard (bulk) shipping can take up to three weeks to arrive, depending on your location. You can find PDFs of the catalog on the Catalogs page until your physical copy arrives.

Other important reminders:

  • The holiday catalog launch event starts today at 1:00 PM (MT)! Find more details here.
  • The mailing selector period ends July 31. You may only place one order during the open selection period, so make sure everything is correct before you close it.
  • Eight-packs of holiday catalogs will be available for purchase or for redemption with flex points beginning August 1.
  • Ordering will be unavailable on August 1 from midnight to 3:00 AM (MT) while we transition our systems to the new catalog.
  • With the preorder starting next week, important news could come up that needs to be communicated right away. With that in mind, we may be posting some updates outside of our normal Weekly Update process, so be sure to check the website until the preorder goes live on August 1.

Visit the Catalog Details page for important dates and information relating to the launch of the new catalog.

Big Shot Cutting Pads

Many of you have reached out to us with concerns about the Big Shot Cutting Pads not having the longevity that they used to have. We wanted you to know that we are actively working with our supplier to determine the issue.

In the meantime, there are steps you can take to improve the longevity of your Cutting Pads:

  • Regularly rotate which Cutting Pad is on top, and flip the pads over to help alleviate even more cutting wear.
  • Only use the Precision Base Plate on detailed dies from the Detailed Dies section of the annual catalog (p. 215). The Precision Base Plate is especially rough on Cutting Pads because it is made of metal and has no give, so the pads absorb the pressure.
  • Avoid adding additional shims to your sandwich whenever possible, as this places additional pressure on the pads when you run them through the Big Shot.

We know that some of you, even when following these best practices, still encounter wear issues with your Cutting Pads; we have made our supplier aware of that, as well. We appreciate your patience as we continue to work to find the source of the problem and resolve it with our Cutting Pads supplier.

OnStage in 2019

Who’s already planning for 2019? We are! When we book venues for our events we work a few years out, and that means we’re already in the planning stages for 2019. When we announced that the OnStage schedule would look a little different in 2018, some of you had questions about what that would mean for 2019.

We will be picking back up with the OnStage Live rotation we ended with this year, which means: April 2019 OnStage Live will be in the South Pacific and November 2019 will be in Europe. Here’s an overview:

November 7–10, 2018Orlando, Florida, United StatesThroughout Europe and South Pacific

We continually evaluate how to improve our events and best meet our OnStage objectives, which are to:

  • Connect demonstrators to Stampin’ Up! and to each other through catalog launch product experiences, training, and recognition.
  • Provide an experience that engages demonstrators so they are inspired to stay active in their demonstrator role.
  • Provide training and product information to help demonstrators increase their sales.
  • Give the opportunity for as many demonstrators to attend OnStage as possible.
  • Effectively use company resources.

We look forward to seeing you at OnStage in November!

Ownership and Use of Team Lists, Company-Generated Customer Lists, and Other Confidential Information of the Company

Policy reminders are essential for the protection of you as a demonstrator, for your fellow demonstrators, and also for protection of Stampin’ Up! Today’s message is especially important as it involves the rules and laws that govern the use and ownership of team lists and company-generated customer lists and related data.
