NEW THIS WEEK

Get Excited about the Holiday Catalog!

It’s almost that time of year for our holiday catalog, and we are so excited to share it with you! On July 23, we’ll be launching the holiday catalog PDF, and an entire arsenal for success. So, not only will you get to see the entire holiday catalog, but you’ll enjoy videos about cross-selling and product training, as well as a special video by Sara and Shelli!

Check back on July 23 at 1:00 PM (MT), and you’ll fall in love with all the fun resources we have in store for you. And don’t forget to mark your calendars for August 1, so you can be the first to preorder. We can’t wait to help you make your holiday season the most wonderful time of the year!

Announcing the 2021 Incentive Trip

Plan to earn the 2021 incentive trip and enjoy a luxurious cruise through the Eastern Caribbean starting in Miami and stopping in St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Thomas, and a private island in the Bahamas! This incentive trip offers travel adventures such as hiking volcanoes, kayaking, exploring action-packed cities, and enjoying thrilling cruise ship activities—as well as plenty of time to relax on stunning beaches and by the pool. You’ll also enjoy endless activities aboard the biggest cruise ship in the world—the Symphony of the Seas!

The trip is May 1–8, 2021,* and the earning period for it begins in October; so start setting some goals to start the earning period strong. Print this tracker to help you on your way!

Watch our announcement video here.

*Note that the trip is May 1–8, 2021, which is earlier than it’s been the last few years. We continually review our plan for events and incentive trips to determine the best timing and locations. Holding our incentive trips earlier will avoid the peak tourist season for many of the destinations we visit; we hope this will offer an even better experience for our achieving demonstrators. We’re also excited that the earlier date will put the trip closer to its earning period.

Social Media for Beginners

Do you want to incorporate social media into your business but aren’t sure where to start? Then join us for an upcoming webinar series, “Social Media for Beginners!” During these webinars, you’ll learn the basics of social media and how to get started. These classes are especially for demonstrators who have never used social media platforms before.

We invite you to join us for our next webinar in the series: The Basics of Pinterest: Thursday, August 1 at midnight (MT). Register here.

NOTE: Please note that these webinars go live at midnight (MT). Due to limited space, we kindly ask you not to register if there is any doubt that you can join at this time.

If you can’t make it to the live webinar, don’t worry. We’ll also share them in the social media section of Stampin’ University at a later date (English-only with translated captions). Our previous webinars are available in Stampin’ University. Be sure to check them out in Webinar page of Stampin’ University.

Influencer Marketing Beta Test

From July–December 2019, Stampin’ Up! will conduct an “influencer” marketing beta test in the U.S. market with the help of four high-profile craft bloggers. During the first phase of our beta test, we have recruited craft bloggers who reside near the Stampin’ Up! home office. Future tests will expand to different regions and countries.

The purpose of this test is to determine if influencers can increase awareness of the Stampin’ Up! brand and its products while attracting new customers and demonstrators. These influencers will create a monthly blog post, video, and social media post featuring current Stampin’ Up! catalog products.

To help interested customers find a demonstrator near them, influencers will include the following text with each post: “If you’d like to learn more about the fun product(s) featured here, please visit www.stampinup.com and click the Find a Demonstrator button to locate a demonstrator in your area.”

Check out the crafty “influencer” blogs where our products will be featured here: Canary JaneClarks CondensedThe Crafting Chicks, and The Craft Patch.

Update on Purple Posy Ink, Trimmer & Die-Cutting Machine

Purple Posy Ink

We are currently testing a third sample of Purple Posy ink. The two previous samples we received from our vendor both failed our quality tests. We know you are disappointed that you cannot order this ink color; however, we do not want to offer an ink option that does not meet our high-quality standards. We will keep you posted.

Trimmer

Our product team is still working on a new paper trimmer, but we do not have any new information to share at this time. We do not know when a new trimmer will launch, but we are working diligently to get one to you as soon as possible. There will not be a trimmer included in the 2019 holiday catalog.

Die-Cutting Machine

We are still developing a new die-cutting machine and we do not have any new information to share at this time. We can confirm that there will not be a new machine included in the 2019 holiday catalog.

Paper Pumpkin Offers a Fall Kit and Something More

Paper Pumpkin is offering a color-rich, fall-themed kit this August, but we also have something in store for our card-loving subscribers. Check the promotion page now for exclusive additional products available for Paper Pumpkin subscribers beginning August 1. Then plan to call your customers soon. Give them “pumpkin” to talk about.

Sales Tax Holidays (US Only)

If you love holidays—and don’t love taxes—we have some great news for you! Twelve U.S. states will have sales tax holidays for school supplies over the next several weeks. The dates for each state’s sales tax holiday will vary; the definition of “school supplies” will also vary from state to state. Fortunately, a selection of Stampin’ Up! products qualify as school supplies and will be tax-free during each state’s sales tax holiday period. (Sales tax holidays may not apply to additional county, city, and special jurisdiction taxes.) Make sure to let your customers know about these limited-time sales tax holidays, and encourage them to take advantage!

To find out which states are participating—and which products will be tax-free for each state—download this Sales Tax Holidays PDF.

Important Note: Orders must be placed with Stampin’ Up! during the sales tax holiday period to receive these select items tax free; each period begins—and ends—at midnight (MT).
