UPDATES: December 17, 2020: PROCESS CHANGE FOR DEMONSTRATOR PAYMENT PROFILE
PROCESS CHANGE FOR DEMONSTRATOR PAYMENT PROFILE
The credit/debit card industry is evolving to reduce the amount of payment fraud. A recent change by the industry has necessitated a change in the process of updating or saving credit/debit card information to your Demonstrator Payment Profile.
First, you may be prompted to provide your CVV (security) code when entering a new card into your Demonstrator Payment Profile. In order to validate the card number and security code, a $.00 or $.01 authorization request is sent to your card issuer ($.00 for Mastercard, Visa, or American Express cards, or $.01 for Discover Card). These authorizations are only used to make sure the card number and security code is correct; even if $.00 or $.01 show on your statement, these funds won’t be paid from your account.
If the information is accurate, you can use the card on future transactions without having to input your security code each time you use the card number.
