Do all of you know about the group called SUDDEN Response? This is a group for Stampin' Up! Demonstrators in the United States who would like to help demonstrators in our USA stamping family who have suffered major loss to their stamping supplies and therefore, their business, due to disasters of any kind. It’s been around for a long time, and the demonstrators who originally started it were awarded with the Heart of Stampin’ Up! award.
The way SUDDEN works is that members are notified, through a Facebook post, about a demonstrator who has had a major loss due to a disaster. Members of the group are asked to contribute whatever they can or wish to contribute to help the demonstrator. Help can run from ordering supplies for the demonstrator to sending the demonstrator card samples. And there’s no pressure and no one keeps track of who contributes and who doesn’t. The group does try to organize reporting of what is sent to the demonstrator in need so there are not too many duplicates. Other than that, it’s “help if you can!”
To join the SUDDEN Response group log onto Facebook and search for the Sudden Response Group (or click here). You’ll be asked to answer a few questions, including providing your demo ID. Stampin’ Up! allows this group to do its work as long as it ensures that all of the members are actually Stampin’ Up! demonstrators. There is a way to verify the Demo ID. Once the ID is verified and the demonstrator is allowed into the group, the Demo ID disappears from its records.
