SU!: SU: Question on trimmer

Sandy Jones

I updated my trimmer when the previous one was offered, but hadn't gotten the current one.  Since it's on sale today, I'm considering it, but wonder....is it really worth it? Do you like it a lot better than the previous one?

Thanks for your input.

Re: SU!: SU: Question on trimmer

Debbie Dutchess

I LOVE this trimmer!!! It is by far the best one I've ever owned. I even ordered another one today to use with the rotary add on so I don't have to switch back & forth.

With the 30% discount and then our 20% demonstrator discount it is a great deal.

Just my 2 cents ~

It is the best trimmer I have used, and I have used many. It cuts a very straight smooth line, 12 x 12 paper is easy to line up, and the arm extends in a much better place than any other trimmer. I wish it could cut more than one sheet at a time but I guess I can't have everything!

The new Trimmer is very nice, but there is no substitute for the Tabletop
Cutter, which sadly, is no longer available.

The Trimmer is lightweight and travels easily to demonstrations, is easy to
use and carries replacement blades (which I go through with record speed)
in the storage place underneath.  But for cutting large quantities for a
class or workshop, nothing can replace my Tabletop.  I have begged SU to
bring that item back, but apparently, that is not in the cards.

SU!: RE: SU: Question on trimmer

One thing on the new trimmer that I really like is you don't have to slip
the paper under the arm.  The arm lifts to the right out of the way as you
set your paper down.  I didn't realize how used to this I had gotten.  A
week or so ago I took my old trimmer with me for the weekend to scrapbook
with my sisters.  I figured I'd only be doing small things and I could use
up the blades I had still for the old trimmer.  Boy was it a PAIN and I
really wish I had brought the newer design with me.  It's just so much more
ergonomically designed.  I really hadn't realized it until I went back to
the old.

I'm still considering buying a second one so I can keep the rotary trimmer
in one.  I LOVE it!
