SU!: Flatten Warped Big Shot Plates?

Pamela Sanchez

I read this article in one ot today's blog postings:  "Speaking of the cutting pads article last month, several of you emailed to let me know I missed a step. You are to place a heavy object on the cutting pad when heating it in the oven. Also, the agreed upon temperature is 325 degrees."

I missed any discussion on this topic.  Is there really a way to rescue warped plates?  If so, please share.  One set of mine are almost unusable.

TIA,

Hi Pamela,

I haven’t tried the heating in the oven idea but I always store my plates in my big Shot.  If they are warped I just make sure that the rounded side is on top when I wind back into the Big Shot, next time I use them they are straight.  They bend again with use but storing this way means that I always have flat plates to use when I  am ready.  Doesn’t take the marks or clean out the fibres but they just add character anyway.
