SU!: Bow help

Veronica "Ronnie" Dornhoffer

Happy Chilly Sunday!

I struggle making bows.  I have customers that do so as well so much so that they growl and grumble each time they have to make one!

Any hints?  Ideas?

Thanks a bunch and stay warm!

Re: SU!: Bow help

Maria Pobre

I've taught many of my customers how to use a spatula to make bows... so they don't worry about it as often anymore.

Happy Stampin'~

I always have some tied for those who don't want to make bows and let the others make their own.
Hope this helps,

Ronnie,

Here is a video <http://jackietopa.typepad.com/addicted_to_stamping/2013/10/bow-bows-bows.html>  tutorial and written step by step instructions (attached) showing how to make 11 different bows with a variety of different SU ribbons.  Some are quite simple.

These instructions and video were done recently for SUDSOL’s technique section update. I can’t seem to find it there yet but it should be available on the SUDSOL website in the future.

We have a number of tutorials in the Techniques section, try
these............................

Fork Bows
http://www.sudsol.org/members/index.php?action=article&id=6859&relid=13

Bow Tying 101
http://www.sudsol.org/members/index.php?action=article&id=3373&relid=13

Bows and More Bows
http://www.sudsol.org/members/index.php?action=article&id=7389&relid=1

Paper Bows
http://www.sudsol.org/members/index.php?action=article&id=7337&relid=13

My favorite it the Fork Bow, I showed my customers and they were amazed!
We had a run on 4 tine serving forks in this area!  (I only use metal as
the plastic tend to bend on me).

Good luck.
