Question of the Week Summary for 6/5-11

Charlotte Lindmeier
We had enough participants this week to give a free week of SUDSOL. Our winner this week is Micki Antinone.

This SUDSOL program is designed to spark creative discussions, share ideas and tips, etc. You're responses are sent directly to the list and a summary of all ideas shared is compiled and posted at the end of the week.

Our Question this week was:
How do you make the best use of the pieces you have left over from the 6x6 DSP?
******
I use my scraps from left over DSP to make bookmakers, tags, labels and more - I hardly ever throw out a scrap!
**
If you have long strips left, they are perfect for the test tubes!

**
I use the strips to enhance the background of a card or to cut out arty flowers.
**
I use small pieces with my punches.  when I have a zip bag full, I pass
on to our Church Youth Director.  They use them in many activites.
Also give them small pieces of dsp and cardstock.  Nothing goes to
waste!
**

1. Use them as layers on scrapbook pages
2. Use them for paper piecing with various stamp sets e.g. Beautiful You
3. Use them with punches
4. Use them as bunting
5. Make paper beads
6. Scrapbook embellishments
7. Create patterns
8. Use small pieces to make a 'cake' or other small shapes
9. On Gift Tags
10. Paper weaving
11. Die cutting letters/numbers
12. Confetti
13. Pieces for shaker cards
14. Photo corners
15. Roll up and insert in decorations
16. Banner cut strips and place on card fronts
**
I use almost all these ideas! I also like to use them for pieced backgrounds that mimic scrap quilts since patchwork quilts are another of my interests.
