Punch Template Labels

Jeanne Moss

How do you store and organize your punches?  I have a cabinet from a storage company for some of mine, but I also use a clear over-the-door shoe organizer for some of them.  Both actually work very well, but aren't easily accessible from my workstation, which means getting up and down to get to them.  Not that I'm too lazy to get out of my chair (okay, maybe I'm a little bit lazy), but I do like to concentrate on a project without too many trips for supplies, like my punches.

A good way to keep track of the punches you own is to make a punch template ring.  You can cut pieces of cardstock, using a different punch on each one and attach these pieces together with a ring. You can keep this at your workstation to quickly see which punches you have available.  You'll also have a sample of the punch size that you can place over your stamps or images to see if they will fit.  You'll know exactly which punch you want BEFORE you get out of your chair!

Thanks to SUDSOL, you can even label your punch template ring with the name and item number of each punch.  I've attached the link to the labels below.

Re: SU!: Punch Template Labels

All current punches and ones that I use a lot are  in the OrganizeMore punch organizer.  I’ve had it for years and really like it.
It’s kinda within reach.  I just have to pop halfway out of my chair and reach over.
The retired punches are in a drawer across the room.
I’m currently re-organizing my Studio and have been searching for the best products.
There are some REALLY awesome ideas out there since I built the room 20 years ago!
Thanks for the punch labels!
:)
