Please Help! Retiring Questions that are confusing to me :)

Lois Folla

Below are questions from the Retirement list that don’t match up…. I’m not asking for secrets, just clarification for those who have the new catalog already. Thank you very much!

  1. Dies Retiring but Stamp sets staying
  • Stitched Be Mine
  • Nature’s Roots
  • In The Woods

  1. Detailed Peacock – shows it’s staying but stamp set retiring
  2. Happy Tails (dog set) and Nine Lives (cat set) retiring but both Dog and Cat Punches are not retiring?
  3. Is the STAMPARATUS Replacement Plates really going out?

Thank you very much for any clarification you can make.

Have a wonderful day!

Lois

In reply to this post by Lois Folla

Lois, I don’t think anyone has a hard copy of the catalog yet (I could be wrong), but assuming you’re a demo, you have access to the catalog in .pdf format through the Stampin’ Up! demo site.  If you select the Happening Now tab from the main page after you log in, you can click on Catalogs to view it.  You can then download it to your computer or other electronic device.

Several of the sets are on the retirement list because they’re being reconfigured.  “Without giving away any secrets,” all three of the dies you asked about below appear in the new catalog, but with a new item number.

Hi Lois,

Returning your help!

1.  These dies are all in the new catalog but with new Item #s, so I’m sure they’re reformatted for the new machine.

2.  Detailed peacock dies are not in the new catalog.

3.  Dog and cat stamp sets are NOT in the catalog but the punches are.

4.  No extra plates for Stamparatus in the new catalog.

Some used fabric soften sheets like Bounce… in replace of getting the embossing buddy. I never tried it though 😊

Lois:

Here are answers to your questions:

Nature's Roots, Stitched Be Mine, and In the Woods dies are ALL in the new catalog.  On the retiring list, all of these had 4 asterisks (****) behind them, which means they will have new item numbers in the new catalog.
The Royal Peacock stamp set and coordinating dies are BOTH RETIRING.
The dog and cat punches are staying be the Happy Tails and Nine lives stamp sets ARE retiring.  There is a new suite called Playful Pets with cats and dogs and dies, and matching DSP.  I hope the DSP has shapes matching the dog and cat punches that we can punch out, but I can't tell from the tiny photo of the DSP.

Hope this helps!

Donna,
I think you could try corn starch in a little muslin bag to replace the embossing buddy.  Also read that you can do the same with fuller’s earth.

On last comment to the Words Lists:  I proof read as I’m typing and I skimmed again for obvious errors and that all NEW sets were indicated.  PLEASE make corrections as you find them necessary AND let me know so I can correct the master copies.

Now, here are the 3 major formats!

Stats:  938 new stamps/words for 2020-2021 but that does NOT included the breakdowns of alphabets and numbers that occur in several sets.  I hope I wrote those out in a way that will make sense to you.  I know that what might make sense to me might not make any sense to someone. else!  :)
