Packaging Cards for Sale at Craft Fairs - Non SU! products

Patricia Gardner
Hoping to participate in a craft fair someday, I currently have my cards for sale in clear, solid bags with a sealed, flap closure. I've been considering the A2 card jackets, as sold by Clearbags.com (link below) so customers can see the inside of the card. But they don't entirely cover the inside of the card, so the card still could get dirty.

Any thoughts or opinions? Any experience with either? Thanks.

I use these card jackets whenever I sell my cards.  I have never had a problem with the inside of the card getting dirty.  I think the jackets give a more professional appearance to the cards.

RE: Packaging Cards for Sale at Craft Fairs - Non SU! products

In reply to this post by Patricia Gardner

I purchase bags from GT Bag Company their 6x9 Lip & Tape Bags #L6B6x9.

They are big enough that I can open my card up and slide it in, then fold it on the card’s fold.  That way a customer can open it to see the inside.  If you are interested I can email pictures of one of my cards.  They do take up a bit more space in my display rack so I have stamped the inside information on a 2 x 4 piece of copy paper and place those on top of envelope in the bags (clear envelopes) that SU sells.

Hope this helps.  Let me know if  you’d like to see pictures.

Patti,

I put my cards for sale in the Stampin' Up! clear medium envelopes.  Before sealing, I include a scrap piece of paper with the inside greeting so the individual purchasing knows what it says.  It has not stopped people from buying as they can see what it says inside.

Good luck.

I use the jackets too, and have not have any issues with cards getting dirty. The flap is wide enough to protect the inside.
