Today is the last day to sign up for the Leadership card front Swap.
It's time to prepare for swapping at Leadership 2014 if you will be going and if you want to swap. Once again, I'm glad to be coordinating it.
**Please save this email if you plan to join in.**
If you haven't participated in the past, or if this is your first Leadership, please please please don't be shy about signing up. We are friendly. We are fun. And your contribution is what it's all about!!!!!
When: Friday, January 10th at lunch time -- subject to adjustment if necessary
Where: Gathering Place, back right corner
How many cards: Depends upon how many sign up but no more than 40 unless you sign up for more than one group. (see below)
SIGN UP LIST UP TO DATE (12/13/13) IS BELOW; PLEASE CHECK FOR CORRECTNESS! (Alphabetical by first name; * = you have signed up for 2 groups.)
**Card fronts only (save your card stock for classes, workshops and real mailable cards).
**Current (2013-2014) Stampin' Up! product: that includes whatever catalogs are valid during Leadership. Yes, SAB items will be ok. So will Celebrate the Everyday Occasions catalog.
**Use layers and embellishments, sharp cuts for your layers, neat work---i.e. your best presentation of your work. Sudsolers have a reputation to uphold! :)
**Sign ups will be cut off on December 13th to allow you plenty of time to get your product ordered and cards made. HINT from my stamping table to yours: I make my Sudsol swaps first and then, if I think I need more swap card ideas, or just don't want to miss out in the mass hysteria of swapping, I'll make another 30-50 cards.
**Sudsol Members only
**Sign up with ME for the card front swap:
**PLEASE** put your NAME, LOCATION, EMAIL and INGREDIENTS on the back of your swap card*. (If you don't have your ingredients on your card, I will not figure them out when uploading the card to the gallery. And.....your recipient will be disappointed.)

Fine print, aka details:
Plan ahead so you won't run out of time for creating your cards and putting your information on the backs. In the past some members have placed their cards in clear envelopes (102619, p. 162, bottom left, $4.95/50; quite hard to find in catalog!). Not a requirement but they can protect your card. That choice is totally yours. Remember--we are trying to gather ideas for workshops and classes, so you don't have to go way over the moon to make your fanciest card ever! :)
How many cards you ask? It depends upon how many sign up. If it's more than 40, which based on last year it will be, we will break into GROUPS. Groups will be cut off at 40 swappers max per group. Group size may be less than 40 depending upon final count and how I have to divide the groups to keep them all equal. Please!!! Do NOT get attached to the first group you are in as I might have to switch you.
You may sign up for 2 groups. Please make a different card design for each group you are in. After the cutoff date (December 10th--I WILL EXTEND THE CUTOFF DATE TO FRIDAY, DECEMBER 13th) I'll let you know what group you are in via the weekly updates. If your name is followed by an asterisk, you have signed up for two groups. Groups will be listed alphabetically by first name for everyone's convenience.
I'll be posting ALL of the swap cards in the Sudsol Gallery so all Sudsol members will get to see everyone's card. I'll also include the details for each card when I upload it to the gallery IF and ONLY IF that information is on the card. I’m begging: please put your ingredients on your card. It makes uploading so much easier. You don't have to include the 'how-to'.
I am available for questions or concerns all the time. If I've forgotten anything, shout it out. I'll add it to the next update. I'll be sending out a Sudsol update every Friday prior to Leadership. After December 13th, updates will go to swap participants only.
*Recommendation: (This is my n-a-g) As soon as you know what you're doing for your card, step back and make your labels that include your
The request for information on the back of your cards is really a courtesy to your fellow swappers --- they want to know who made the great card they have in their hand and they may want to contact you.
I'm looking forward to seeing and meeting you in Houston. BTW, I'm having trouble with my alphabetizing skills this morning---I use Number from iWord and sometimes I just get stuck on a task. Today is one of those days unfortunately. Those added during the past week are at the bottom of each group. I'll re-figure out the alphabetizing bit and have it up to speed by next update. Thanks for understanding.
Those who have already signed up are shown below. PLEASE CHECK EMAIL FOR CORRECTNESS!
