I finally have a downline, now what?

Brenda Copper
This week 2 of my customers bought the starter kit. One plans to be a Hobbist and the other wants to have some events. I sent welcome e-mails and plan to send a card but I really need ideas for how I can support them and if I should send them a welcome gift.

I’d go with a welcome gift if approx. $10 each. Follow up with a team meeting and ask what they want from you by way of support. Then make sure you stay in touch.
Congratulations!!!

I think the My Ready Reference book ($5 US) on the supply list would make a great gift for a new DL.

Definitely have downline meetings.  My uplines used to do that, even just getting other demos to just craft together; then working in some business topics should help the hobbiest too.  I miss that with my "group" even though I've been a demo since Feb. 2007.  Our Demo group doesn't get together anymore.  (I do not have any downline.)  Remind them they don't need to get everything all at once.  (though they may have alot already if they have been your customers!)  Take advantage of the demo preorders on product.  Push the Stampin' Start the first few months to get to the Bronze Elite. I like the idea of the Ready Reference keyring.  Just a few thoughts...

Power Hour

Jeanne Moss
In reply to this post by Nola Burkhard

For this week’s article spotlight, I thought I’d piggyback on Charlotte’s Question Of The Week. She asked what everyone is doing with their Power Hour this week.

A Power Hour can be a very valuable tool when you have a lot of things to get done, or need to work on a task you don’t particularly like.

Read all about implementing a Power Hour in this SUDSOL business article.  And thank you, Charlotte, for focusing on this subject!

Reporting SU Income on your Federal Tax Return

Jeanne Moss
In reply to this post by Nola Burkhard

Have you begun working on your 2019 taxes yet?  I’m just getting started.  Once again, I’ve waited until the end of the year to really keep track of anything, so now I’m printing reports and trying to get things in order.  Sheesh!  Will I EVER learn?

If you’re a new demonstrator or need a refresher on reporting your SU income on Federal Tax forms, SUDSOL has an article that may be of some help.  As always, be sure to check with your tax advisor for current rules/regulations.

Detailed Hearts Die

In reply to this post by Brenda Copper

I’m with a customer and we tried and tried tons of different ways to get this due to work in her Big Shot. We never got it to cut, and only one edge even made any slight impression.
We used cardboard layers, Precision base and nothing worked.
Very frustrating!
Suggestions???
