How to get Blendabiltiies Ink out of Clothing

Coleen Astalos

Decided I needed to check the ends of all my blendabilities since I had the one defective one.  The small end of my Coastal Cabana light one was dry (and the tip was completely dry).  But the other end seemed to have ink in it.  So I decided to (with the cap on) flick the pen hard to get ink to the other end.  It worked, but it worked TOO well and there was lots of liquid in the cap when I took it off, which of course landed on the light Khaki shorts I was wearing.  Which means I now have Coastal Cabana ink drops on my shorts.  Arrgh!

Any suggestions on how to get it off?  I tried running it under cold water, no luck.

Taking the lids off my blendabilities for the first time I managed to flick small drops of ink on my computer screen.  I managed to clean my screen with Isopropyl (Rubbing) Alcohol.

Not sure how that would work with fabric.

Re: How to get Blendabiltiies Ink out of Clothing

Coleen Astalos
In reply to this post by joyce pacer

Thanks for the answers on getting Blendabilities ink out of clothing.

Rubbing Alcohol applied from the back with a white towel under the front to blot any ink coming up was the biggest response.  I did this and after several repetitions, it removed about 90% of the ink.

So then I also tried Finger Nail polish remover - which took a bit more out.

Another source I have (how to get any stain out of anything) said after the rubbing alcohol if that didn't completely remove it to try Turpentine.  I didn't go that route since I didn't have any handy.

But I could not get the stains completely, but I did lighten it enough that I'm hoping when the material is dry, won't really show much.
