Has anyone received a text message from a potential customer that sounds like spam?

Kay Capps

Hi- I just received a text from "Rosa" but it sounds like spam that
other demos and myself have received in emails.

Here is her first text followed by her 2nd text.

"I will like to order some STAMPINUP items through you
Please email me back now at I await your response Thanx Rosa"

I replied I would be happy to help her and asked if she was local to
me-
Her reply-

"Great to read from you. kindly taxt me with your email so i can send
details of my needed items
list to you kindly text me back. Thanx"

She just text again saying: "Understood"

These were the exact words with punctuation etc.

It just sounds fishy to me-Where would she get my phone number?

Thanks for your help!

Kay, Notice the English. It is off. Scam for sure. When translated that is what you get. Do not trust.

I am on a dating site and when I see those kind of mistakes in the written part I know they are scams.

When I work, I sell classified ads. When they say ADVERT instead of advertising. It is also a scam.

Yes, I got a text like this - I'm pretty sure that's because I have set up on my SU! options to send me a text for a new lead and that's why it came thru as a text.

I ignored it as it looked like SPAM to me.

I got it too and although I figured it was a scam, you never know.

I replied that I would be happy to help her but she MUST have a credit card.  I haven’t heard back. Smile
