Excel formula

Delphine Anderson
Hi everyone
I know you are all very smart ladies and I know someone can help me with a formula for excel.
I want to use the current catalog as the base. I want to be able to enter the product number and have the info auto inserted.  Just like the retired list where we can enter our item numbers and build our retired list. My goal is to be able to build a current inventory list.
I hope someone can help me

Re: SU!: Excel formula

You can use the VLOOKUP formulas but this is probably going to be WAY more work to set up AND to use on an ongoing basis. (Been there done that bailed WAY early in the process!)

You are far better off using a real database program like Access for this kind of thing. There used to be a program out there - heck, I even sold one about 10 years ago - that allowed people to populate the shells with catalog information that was regularly collected by volunteers in this group.

Have you looked into These Are My Stamps? At just $3 a month, this tool does a TON of things, one of which is maintaining a pretty robust inventory management portal.

Using the Hostess & Customer Excel program that we have on SUDSOL (http://sudsol.org/member/articles/hostess-customer-order-forms-in-one-workshop-shell/) I just adjusted it to remove the customer order forms so that you can make a list.  Try this and let us know if it works for you

Oh that is SO epic! Thank you!  For some reason I thought this had fallen off with the cessation of that program that we were all using.
