Check out this cool color scheme tool

Phyllis Strickland

When you see something on the web with great colors, upload it  or the URL  to  Chip-It from Sherwin Williams  -  it  will create two color palettes for you (from Sherwin Williams paint chips , of course).  You can even add a Chip-It Button to your bookmark bar.

I found this on Craft Test Dummies Blog – Here is a link to the post for all the details:

or here is Tiny URL with preview:

Or go direct to Sherwin Williams Chip-It Color Matching Tool

Chip-It from Sherwin Williams.

Be sure to watch the demo.

Many of the results won’t work that well, we have a paltry 50 colors including 10 neutrals and a generally dull selection of colors to work with, whereas they have 1,500 including many stunning colors that just do not exist in the SU palette.  And that for me is the danger of using tools like this, it illustrates the frustration I have with the SU mostly boring dull color palette with numerous colors that are so similar you don’t dare take them out of the package or you won’t know which color it is because new packages often are in between two  colors of your previous cardstock.   …and time to go put this in the sandbox AGAIN!
