We are in an artistic business and our business cards should show it! First, it is a business, so you should have a business card to give to anyone who asks about what you do. Second, your business card will have more impact if it reflects the creative type of business that Stampin' Up! is.
Take 15 minutes today to design a business card in MDS.
This is really not as daunting as it sounds. Just create a custom size project in MDS that is 2" x 3-1/2" (the size of a standard business card).
Create your design by adding a background and design elements to your business card just like you would a card or scrapbook space. Since it's such a small space you really only need a few items. Don't forget to include important information about yourself including:
Your phone number
Your email address
Your BLOG or DBWS address
Stampin' Up! logo (you can download from the SU! site here)
Independent Demonstrator (this must be included somewhere on the card)
See some samples in the SUDSOL gallery of business cards others have done in MDS.
When you're happy with your business card design, export the file as a JPG (Project, Share, Export Pages)
If you used the Stampin' Up! logo, you must get approval from Demo Support before printing the cards. This is very easy - just email ds@ and include the JPG image of the business card.
Once you've received approval, you can start printing your business cards. This can be done by uploading them to a site that prints business cards (such as Vistaprint.com) or by printing on your own computer. Just use Microsoft Word's template for business cards and insert the JPG image from MDS and it'll print 9 cards per page.
Share your business card with the group! Upload it to the SUDSOL gallery under the Digital Business Card section of the gallery.
Taking Time For Business
Time is a manmade concept. It’s a little hard to swallow sometimes, particularly since everything in our lives seems to revolve around it.
Many times you hear excuses that there just isn’t enough time in the day to build your business.
Each day SUDSOL recommends one 15 minute task to work on to help build your business. These are achievable tasks that you absolutely can do.
Take 15 minutes from your lunch break, after dinner, before heading to work, or some other time that works into your schedule – and tackle just one small task to help build your business!
