Brother Scan n' Cut

grantj

Will it duplicate more than images? For instance, if I wanted to re-produce the coffins we had last year, would I be able to scan one and have the SnC duplicate it multiple times.

I have coffins - thanks for the offer - I just used them as an example!!!

Yes Jan you can.

There is a great gal also a SU Demo (Papered Chef) that does wonderful videos from beginning on.  Several of us in my group have the SnC and we all love her videos.  She does have one that shows scanning a die cut image and then cutting it on cardstock.

I use my Silhouette Cameo all the time when I paper craft. From using the pixscan to cut out images from DSP, to making boxes, etc.   When SU! was talking about new machines awhile back – I had so hoped they would have gone to an electronic cutter

I wrote Jan privately about the Papered Chef. I too love her videos and my SnC and  have learned so much from her about my machine and surprisingly also about SU.

Here are some images that I’ve made from photos. I import the photo into the scan n cut software (Canvas) and just have it save the outline of the picture. Then I can resize and cut the shape out however I want it. For the game controller, I cut the circles and letters with the scan n cut also, getting them the exact size I needed them in the software. The Dr. Death Costume figure is 9” high and fits in a #10 envelope. I just made it and it’s not in the mail yet. The Musical Note is an A2 size and the game controller is 5 x 8.

Mini Cut & Emboss machine plate sizes

Phyllis Strickland
In reply to this post by Patti Scanlan

Could someone please post the exact width and length of the platform and cutting plates fork the Mini Cut & Emboss Machine.

I have a customer almost ready to buy it, but she wants to know that first.  That is not listed in the catalogs, or the shopping site and I did not find it in the demo site.

We need to let SU know that they need to provide this information because customers want  to know if dies they already own will fit.  If they have to take the time to contact us to find out, especially when shopping online, there is a good possibility we will lose the sale and they will move on.  I know that is what I do - path of least resistance...  If a seller can’t be bothered to provide needed information I usually move on.

Thank you!!!

If you look on page 170 in the description for each machine they have the size of the platform. The full size is 6” and the mini is 3 ½”.

Re: SU!: Mini Cut & Emboss machine plate sizes

Phyllis Strickland

I should have given more details.   It says the platform is 3 1/2” wide and somewhere i saw it says for dies narrower than 3 3/8”.   Nowhere does it state the length. That is why she is asking for exact measurements of the plates.  She needs to know if a specific bunch of dies she ready owns will work in this machine

Thank you.

Subject: SU!: Mini Cut & Emboss machine plate sizes

If you just reply to this email, your message will go to all SUDSOL members, unless you change the To: email address to the author: pstrickland@

Phyllis Strickland

The plate length is 7," Phyllis.  And I measured the width of mine and even though the SU info says 3 1/2" I found it to be 3 3/4" wide.

Thank you.

If you look on page 170 in the description for each machine they have the size of the platform. The full size is 6” and the mini is 3 ½”.
