Blendabilities storage tote idea

Phyllis Strickland

Storage copic marker tote lisa hetrick.pdf (636K) Download Attachment

I came across the Copic marker storage tote idea I've been saving for a few
years, when I was searching for something else.  I did not pay for it so it
is ok to share it -   It was posted on her blog,

Might be inspiration for a Blendabilities tote - use up some of your old SU
Fabric, LOL.

Re: SU!: Blendabilities storage tote idea

Cute.  It brings up a question:  I know we need to store our markers flat so the ink inside stays evenly distributed.  Is this the same with the Blendabilities, does anyone know?

This tote was designed by a well known high level Copics instructor so she would know the requirements, at least for Copics.

And this upright storage rack is straight from the Copic.com site:

I do not know if this is true for all alcohol markers, so maybe we need to get the skinny from Stampin' Up.

Yes, it is recommended that the Blendabilities are stored flat.

  • The Stampin' Up! rectangular barrel keeps your markers from rolling away!
  • Flat storage helps to maintain the life of each marker.
  • Each marker comes with a tip on each end: brush and fine.
  • Marker tips are made of nylon, which is superior to polyester which can fray.
  • Color coded caps.
  • Stampin' Up! markers coordinate wonderfully with our cardstock, and can be used with transparent sheets.

I would say, yes, because the reason we store the others that way is so the ink stays in both ends. Blendabilities have two tips also.

Yes, we do need to keep them flat so the ink is touching both ends.

Cute. It brings up a question: I know we need to store our markers flat so the ink inside stays evenly distributed. Is this the same with the Blendabilities, does anyone know?

I came across the Copic marker storage tote idea I've been saving for a few
years, when I was searching for something else. I did not pay for it so it
is ok to share it - It was posted on her blog,

Might be inspiration for a Blendabilities tote - use up some of your old SU
Fabric, LOL.

Sara Levin

These kinds of items for copics are meant to sit on their side for storage - the pens would be horizontal.  When you pick up the totes to carry the pens, then the pens are vertical.  But, you wouldn't leave them in that position long term.
