Blendabilities Return?

Susan Mezias
Okay, with the announcement from Stampin' Up! about being able to return the working blendabilities that were bought as an investment (which mine mostly were) what are you choosing to do?  I hate to send them back if they are again available, but don't want to waste my money if something new comes out.  What to do, what to do!!  Thanks for your opinions!  Susan Mezias

Re: SU!: Blendabilities Return?

Brenda Crawshaw

I am not returning mine.

I bought a few, demo'd them, made my money back, my customers are happy. I am still using them in my personal crafting and I still really like using them. I know that's not the same for everyone but since I have had a good experience I would feel pretty.............icky...........if I sent them back for a refund when I am not technically in the red because of the quality issue.

Of course for people for whom this was NOT a profitable experience due to the manufacturing issues, it would only be right and appropriate to return them.

I would not be surprised to see a different format, since this design did not work out so well and apparently they could not find a solution to make this design work.  Also, if they really  do want to sell quality markers, they will have to correct the color range of most sets.

I don't have a big investment in the myself. I only bought one set each... except for one color that went on "not available" status before I could buy it and two colors I used up and needed to replace. I LOVE them and will keep mine for my personal use.

I seem to be the odd man out here.  I want to return mine. I really dislike the blendabilities! I have tried and tried and think all the work necessary (color color color) to get results isn't worth it. I'm a simple stamper - and I don't care for them. But, I bought them with the idea that my customers might like them, and purchase them.

I am concerned that the information says that my "deferred income" will be affected if I return them. Really? I purchased this product from my parent company with the full intention of selling them. You sold defective product and now you will punish me for trusting your product?

I don't want to start a negative thread, etc - so if you wish to respond to me, please do so privately and I am happy to compile useful information.

I will be returning mine, also.

Re: SU!: Blendabilities Return?

This of you who are thinking about returning ones you have that are good... why not see if any demos here on SUDSOL would be interested first? We have many demos on the list who are hobby demos and buy because they want to use them... not necessarily sell them.

Just a thought!

Return them during the preorder in exchange for items that you want -- if you do it as an exchange there will be no impact on your deferred income and you will get some nice new things that you wanted anyway.

I am keeping mine -- but I also see why people would not keep them -- and an exchange during the preorder (or at the beginning of the new catalog since the return lasts until June 15) seems like a good compromise that would not impact earnings (just your quarterly sales if you were counting on the preorder for that).

I will also be returning mine.  i bought multiple sets for use in classes, and now I can't use them.  But I won't be asking for a refund, which would affect my sales.  I'll just get product from the new catalog.  We have until sometime in June, I think.

Good idea, Maria!

I have customers who purchased complete sets, and don't want to return them, so we've been going through their markers, and if any are dry, switching them out for my good ones!

Re: SU!: Blendabilities Return?

Jan Farring
I didn't keep my "plastic boxes" the original ones came in - I'm hoping I
can return them w/o the boxes.  I, too, have wavered on whether to return
or keep, but I have at least two sets of each one, so I'm thinking of
keeping one set and returning the other for credit towards the new catalog!

I didn't buy them at first, but when I finally did, I started to like them
= but have found most of what I was doing with them can be done with the
markers.

Do hope they find a great product in the future!

LeannaK
Jan, that's my problem too. I have all of the ones in the Annual catalog but I tossed all the "boxes" and put them all into a wood clear mount box. I haven't tested them to see if I have any dry ones. I'm almost certain the only ones I really used were the Cherry Cobbler.

I am keeping mine and using them while they last.  While I made a large investment--four sets of each color, I'd get no joy out of a refund.  My friend's and I will just enjoy them while they last.

Re: SU!: Blendabilities Return?

Has anyone called in to DS and gotten the story that we can exchange
blendabilities that are DEFECTIVE for up to $14.95 in merchandise?  I
thought it was always $11.95.  I have gotten so many stories from calling
in that I am just ready to slam them into a box and get whatever.  This is
very frustrating for me when I have so many customers returning them.

Thank you for letting me vent.
