So here is the problem. If you set up an autoresponder on your email (like Judy Paes did today), you MUST go nomail first and here is why:
1. Someone posts.
2. Your autoresponder system sends a reply - which goes back to the list.
3. Your autoresponder gets the reply it sent and sends another one out in reply to that note - which again goes back to the list.
... And so, on and so on and so on.
Anytime someone adds a post to make it stop, it just magnifies the problem (as that post is sent to the list - which then generates another autoresponder post, etc, etc, etc.)
The only way to stop this cycle is to get the person's email address off SUDSOL. That has been taken care of thanks to Gail - our awesome assistant, who caught it and fixed it.
So just mass delete those auto responses you got this morning.
We previously submitted a request to Nabble support to fix this, autoresponders shouldn't respond to mailing list emails. I'll revisit it with them.
In the mean time, make sure you go NOMAIL on SUDSOL (by contacting us) if you plan to set up an autoresponder on your email.
